
NFEC, Malone campus only, is closed on Tuesday. No torch, new visions, and no boces students. Juniors who attend boces may leave at 11:05 am with a note from a parent. Seniors do not need to report until their first class at BMC.

Reminder: Today is the last day before spring break. Our spring break will begin on Friday, April 18, and will continue through April 25. Monday, April 28th is a give-back snow day. All students will return to school on Tuesday, April 29th. Have a great break.

The Easter Egg by Jan Brett is out on the Story Trail! This book was part of our spring Read aloud and will be out there until 4/22, so there should be time to get out there, enjoy the spring weather and follow along for the story of Hoppi the bunny who learns that sometimes, doing what is kind is the best thing to do! Jan Brett is known for her detailed illustrations, so there is a lot to look at with this one!
I will also send the list of books for April and May so you can see what is coming up!

Shelter in Place
Good afternoon,
At about 1:20 pm today, 4/7/25, BMCSD did a Shelter in Place. Students stayed in their classrooms so that we could get medical assistance to staff member who needed it. Once we had the staff member taken care of we lifted the Shelter in Place at about 1:30 pm. The students and staff did a great job.

The first book of the season is out on the story trail! I Yam a Donkey is our 2025 winner of our Picture Book March Madness. We started with 16 books and students in grades 3-6 went through 4 rounds of voting to choose this story of a frustrated, grammatically correct Yam and a silly Donkey with bad grammar as the winner!


Come and paint and snack with the PTSO this Sunday!!


BMC presents "Emma - A Pop Musical" on Friday, March 28th at 7:00 p.m. and March 29, at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium. Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased from any cast member or at Door 4.

Come and paint with the PTSO on April 6th! We've got food, raffles, paint and fun!! It will be a hoot!!

7-12th grade parent-teacher conferences on Wed March 19.
7-12th grade students dismissed at 11 am.
Walk-in conferences from 12-1 and 5 -6.
Scheduled conferences from 1 - 3 pm.
Thursday 3/20 half day for all students for conferences. Dismissal at 11 am for elementary 11:15 for 7-12 students. 1/2 day Conferences for staff in the afternoon.
Friday 3/21 No school for students. Superintendent's Conference Day.
