BMC EMBRACING FARM TO SCHOOL- This school year, BMC will be launching a Farm to School Program. The mission of our farm to school team is to commit to promoting and inspiring a vibrant community where students thrive through an enduring passion for agriculture and our local food system. We celebrate and champion local producers while educating our community about the lasting benefits of embracing nourishing local foods. These past few weeks our school lunches have included many local fruits and vegetables and we are looking forward to many Farm to School Activities.

The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson is the story on our Story Trail this week! Read along, starting at the new playground and turning left, as a brave and clever mouse defeats the animals of the woods and the scary Gruffalo! Check back next week for a new story! This was made possible by our amazing maintenance staff and the Dollar General Literacy Grant!

Storywalk - A new story is in the storywalk trail! This is a fun story about parents who want to join in all the fun their children have at school. But the kids have to tell the grown ups that they are NOT allowed to come to school with them. A great book for back to school and especially for the youngest students who are a little worried about leaving their parents behind. Reminder that our storywalk trail begins to the left of our new playground. Have fun reading and walking!
