Our new trail is open for the public to use after school hours. Please remember people are walking, running, and biking on our school trail, no unauthorized vehicles are allowed to be on school property. This week we had a Cross Country meet going on and a 4-wheeler was driving down the trail which is a safety hazard for our students and community. We appreciate your help with this.

Do you live in the area? Are you interested in working a day or two a week? Are you interested in working partial days? Are you interested in working at a location with children?
If you answered "yes" to at least a couple of these questions please complete this survey to let us know what area(s) you would like to work at BMC. We are in need of substitutes in all areas. We look forward to hearing from you.

Pictured are Mrs. Durant's book club students. They received signed copies of the novel series they want to read next. Mrs. Durant wrote to the author, Richard Chizmar, and in response, Mr. Chizmar sent 18 signed novels to her and her students. These students are excited to read the Gwendy's series. A big thank you to Richard Chizmar for supporting our readers.

2022-2023
Let's make it a great one. Welcome back panthers! Happy last first day of high school to our seniors. Happy first day ever to our pre- k students. We missed all of our students.

Welcome back!
In regards to bus runs please allow 7-10 minutes earlier and possibly later than last year’s times. I know this is a big window but we have a lot of new riders and roads so runs can slightly change. If your child is overlooked please contact the garage at 518-529-6521. We will get your children to school. A little patience is going to be needed as the first day is hectic for all of us!
Thank you,
Cheryl Rockhill
Head of transportation
(Transport Assistant/Bus driver)
Backpacks are packed and lunches are made...school starts tomorrow...kids will be on their way.
Please remember buses will be on the road again in the morning and afternoon. Please watch for the lights and our students who may be crossing.
The Chromebook Policy is posted below. If you have already signed it, no further actions need to be taken. We would like to hand out Chromebooks soon after the start of school. Students must have the policy signed prior to obtaining their device. The insurance is due by October 15th and can be paid anytime from now until that date. The insurance is an optional yearly fee from 5th grade to 12th grade. The prices for broken items are in the policy. If there are any other questions that you have, please feel free to reach out next week.

Good Morning! The beginning of school is almost here! Attached to this message is a Google Form for our 22-23 Chromebook Policy as well as the optional insurance (for all families and all students 5th-12th grade). Please take a moment to read through the Chromebook Policy prior to signing the form. On the form it will ask you to choose whether or not you want the insurance, and it will ask that you and your student have acknowledged the pledge and agree to follow the policy. The optional insurance is explained in the Chromebook Policy. At the end of the survey it will prompt you to go to MySchoolBucks to pay. You can also deny the insurance on this website, however it would be good to go and register as this will also be how other things are paid for in the future. For example adding money for breakfast/lunch. No student will get their device prior to the form being returned. A paper copy will be available on the first day of school and you can also send in a check if you prefer to pay that way. The insurance may be accepted and paid for by Oct 15th. After this time you will not be able to purchase insurance.
When you are done filling it the form it will prompt you to go to My School Bucks. If you already have an account you can log in. If you do not, go to “Create Account” and complete the prompts to set up a new account.
Then, you will need to log in to your new account.
Go to “Get Started.”
Type in “New York”
Locate “Brushton-Moira CSD”
Click “Add District”
Set up your security questions.
A little screen will pop up, click “Add Student”
Click the school they are in either Elementary (pk-6) or High School (7-12)
Fill in their information. If you do not know your student’s ID, please email Kaela.Hurteau@bmcsd.org and I will provide it to you.
The chromebook insurance will come up on your homescreen.
You need to add all students you wish to apply to the insurance. This will allow you to get the chromebook insurance if you go over the two students. If you do not add them all to cart, it will not give you the discount for families.
Go to Cart and Check Out.

Students (juniors and seniors) who are planning to drive to BOCES programs. Please make sure that this permission slip is on file prior to your first day of driving to your program. Students are not allowed to ride with other students to BOCES programs, even if they receive both parents permission. The district does not allow this. Thank you for understanding. We will have printed copies at school on the first day next week in the High School office.
