Today, Tuesday, Feb 10, 2026, BMCSD implemented a Shelter in Place at 10:04 am as a precautionary safety measure while staff addressed a situation in the hallway.
A Shelter in Place keeps students and staff inside and in their locations, with learning continuing. This is to ensure the safety of everyone in the building while the situation is addressed.
In situations like this, we are mindful of maintaining the privacy and dignity of all individuals involved, while communicating with the school community.
All students and staff did a great job, and the Shelter in Place was lifted at approximately 10:18 am.

At 11:15 AM today, BMCSD implemented a hold in place due to a staff member needing medical attention. All students and staff remained in their locations under adult supervision until approximately 11:20 AM, when the hold in place was lifted.
A hold in place keeps students in one location with an adult and limits movement in the hallways. It is a temporary safety procedure that allows medical attention to be provided without disruption. Everyone did a great job, and we appreciate their patience.
