
Brushton-Moira CSD Farm to School Program
Brushton-Moira Cafeteria is excited to announce that we were recently certified by the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets as meeting the 30% Initiative. During the 2023-2024 school year- 36.5% of the food purchased for school lunches were produced in New York State. We are proud to not only provide healthy choices for school lunches, but to also support the local economy by purchasing products from New York farmers.

More than 7500 types of Apples are grown in the world.
Apple trees take four to five years to produce their first fruit.
A medium sized apple has about 80 calories.
